brooke + nick | Madison WI wedding photographer

Brooke + Nick were married on one of the nicest days in March I have ever seen. I was really worried about a giant snow or ice storm when they booked last September, but the weather was no where near that.  There was some rain drizzle in the morning, but they say rain on your wedding day brings good luck, but I don't think these two need luck. They already have each other and that's enough for them. Brooke was referred to me by one of her cousin's who happens to be a good friend of mine. I could not be more happy that they were able to kick off the 2012 wedding season for me. It was such a great start with such great people! Brooke + Nick were married at Our Lady Queen of Peace with reception at Lake Windsor Golf Club.

Just a word of warning to any new fans following the blog....I like long blogposts, so don't be surprised to see tons of photos. It's a bad habit of mine ;)

We had to cut out a few of the stops we originally wanted to make due to time crunch, so Brooke + Nick picked the two most important spots for them: their house for some shots with their "babies": Diggy & Russy and then onto the Overture Center. This gorgeous magnolia tree - yup, in their backyard! I want to steal it. When I was in Madison in February to meet up with Brooke prior to the wedding we really had our doubts that the tree would be blooming by then, but there it was, perfect just when we needed it!

I love this next bunch. Nothing fancy, just them, radiating love in the place they call home. Natural. Beautiful.
