i spent last night with one of my favorite families in the entire world. we have been friends for a long time. like any friendship, we've had our ups and downs, but i am so happy to call her one of my best friends. we don't get together often because our schedules are so busy, but when we do we talk about marriage, kids, careers, life struggles, our husbands, we eat, we have a glass of wine {when we aren't having babies, which means there hasn't been much wine time for us lately}, but most importantly we laugh. and whenever i'm in a really big funk, it's always laughing with her that cures it.
it's no secret that this family has been through lots of heartache in the last half a dozen years, but it's what makes them stronger. after having to say goodbye to their first son, ethan, due to a heart defect at birth, my heart is filled with immense happiness that these two are about to welcome their third baby boy into the world in just a few short weeks! i remember brooke always telling me that she wanted a whole house full of boys. we may not always know god's plan, but he has greatness for us and he is still with us always and has blessed brooke with her life story she always dreamed about with three beautiful boys.
love you always, xoxo
hugs,
em
