megan + kyle // the wedding // trempealeau and la crosse, wi wedding

let me give you a few reasons why i couldn't get enough of megan and kyle's wedding day:

the vineyard, which by the way was my first time at Elmaro, aaaannnnd i loved it! vineyards are a great place to get married. the scenery is always breathtaking, there's a relaxed atmosphere about it and it shows with everyone both involved in the wedding and for the guests. and let's be real, who doesn't love a good glass of wine right after the ceremony....or even before ;)

that bouquet, that dress, that veil! i couldn't get enough of it! megan, you took our breath away.

the people! oh, the people! what really fills my heart is when i'm starting to see more and more people at my weddings that i know. not only is it a great feeling that I already knew megan and kyle since we spent some time together for their engagement session, but that i also have a special place in my heart for some of their good friends --- some of who played important roles for megan and kyle's day such as wedding officiant and wedding planner + reader {shout out to caitlin and eric!} who were one of my couples from last year, and to top that off two more friends {shout out to dana and kyle!} in attendance of the wedding are two who i am also blessed to be photographing their wedding this upcoming September. when i get to look around and see so many familiar faces and know i was or will be there with them at the start of their lives together, I just can't help but feel love.

three words: sweet pea cinema. cindy and dean were AH-MAZ-ING. such wonderful, wonderful people and videographers. you must check out their video of megan and kyle here.

and lastly, the apache marriage blessing. up until this past march i don't recall hearing this reading at any of my weddings that I've had the pleasure of photographing and now it's been a part of my last two weddings. it instantly grabbed a hold of my heart and is becoming a wedding favorite of mine.

"Now you will feel no rain, for each of you will be shelter for each other.
Now you will feel no cold, for each of you will be warmth for the other.
Now there will be no loneliness, for each of you will be companion to the other.
Now you are two bodies, but there is only one life before.

Treat yourselves and each other with respect, and remind yourselves often of what brought you together. Give the highest priority to the tenderness, gentleness and kindness that your connection deserves. When frustration, difficulty and fear assail your relationship; as they threaten all relationships at one time or another, remember to focus on what is right between you, not only the part which seems wrong. In this way you can ride out the storms when clouds hide the face of the sun in your lives, remembering that even if you lose sight of it for a moment, the sun is still there. And if each of you takes responsibility for the quality of your life together, it will be marked by abundance and delight."
